A fitting award for an intriguing technological innovation. Its introduction wasn't without its problems, but the end product was definitely an innovative success. I wonder if once the RCM completes the "Prehistoric Creatures" series (one more coin to go) if it will use the technology for other coins?

Congrats to RCM and all related people for this award! Mint was smart and issued it with not limited mintage (first coin 25.000), so the series will not follow the "speculative" path of the Mongolian coins.

The RCM had nominations in eight out of ten categories,no other mint matched this achievement. They must be doing something right.

Come on. They really need to stop Disneyfying commeratives. Glow in the dark? Really? Stick to traditional styles and designs. I'm not saying they shouldn't be innovative, but there really is a limit on when creativity just goes too far in my opinion...

" COTY rulezz!" - think people, initially bought Mongolian Gulo-Gulo for near issue. Congrats for scoring a gem. Btw, last year (2012) Andorra's " Brown Bear 2010 1/2oz .999 Silver Proof" coin also won the COTY award in one of the denominations( Best Crown Coin), so I bought it cause I liked the coin and for fun (to see the price in the future), the price then was ~$70.00 ..... and I think it still can found for this price. I have a question, are all of the award divisions called coty's? It's great the RCM has so many nominations year after year. I'm very proud of them for their accomplishment on a yearly basis. It speaks to how people around the word view our coins. It's very good and inexpensive advertising for the mint.
