Once again the RCM is taking coins that didn't sell out and making a set with them. Now with a "Mint-branded maroon clam shell case lined with flock and protected by a black beauty box."

Bad habit, but as for business - understandable.
Lets say such of offers could be interesting, but for reduced price and more nicer presentation.

Strange. They took 3 coins from a large continuing series and added a fourth stand-alone coin and call it a new set? Just a mix and match from the old stock bin.
No discount in price and a clamshell case. Can't see why anyone would buy this presentation if they didn't want the coins individually.

Be very careful guys! You've left yourselves liable to severe criticism for ""whining and ing"" about this fabulous set. All hail the mint's new marketing strategy!

I wonder if there will be special serial numbers for a new mintage.

I'm curious about how the Mint will reflect the mintage on this set and the other recycled sets (Allegory, Canadian Icons etc.)
Has anyone purchased or seen any of these sets and specifically the mintage on the COA? Maybe they have COAs for each coin with the full mintage and a separate COA for the set?

No to both questions, CC. In fact I would be surprised if anyone on this forum would actually buy one of these so-called "limited mintage" sets. However, I doubt very much if the mint would issues serial numbers and COAs for these, since the whole idea is to just get rid of these unpopular coins and it would just be more work and cost to do it. However, I could be wrong.

At thhis rate, I best not to buy any more non popular coins..
Bank notes, Canadian Dino, Animal Architect, the untamed series, Canada butterflies, tradition of hunting and others... this way, I can buy them with the box later if I like them...

Ya lostwords, lets all flood the mint with phone calls and emails lol, ask them why should we bother buying their single coins anymore if they are just going to put them together as a set later on... maybe they would get the hint/message ... maybe not..

I heard from unconfirmed sources (the best kind) that all 400 coins to be issued in 2014 will be made available as a "Very, Very Limited and Exclusive Set" together with a incredible, gigantic cardboard box, with all the COAs printed on tissue paper so they'll fit.
The price? $287,489.95.

Lostwords, seriously, I was going to buy yesterday the 1st Banknote coin below issue price of course and then thought about that when the series finish and as they have sold aprox. 75% they will offer all the coins left in a very nice box with limited mintage, so true .....
