I came across these bills yesterday and noticed that some of them seemed to have a pattern. I did some research on "Fancy" serial numbers and I was wondering if any of these counted or not.

I apologize for the quality of the images. Just can't seem to get a good enough picture. I also read that notes with a star meant they replaced the original sheet.

I don't see anything "fancy" about these...what are you considering to be "fancy"?

I thought that perhaps the 321 was a ladder number , but does it have to be all the numbers? I also saw 05353 would have been a repeating, but I guess not?

None of them seem special... but maybe the star not is. What's the year on it? It might just have a low run...

Yes, the entire number has to be "special" for it to attract any kind of premium. In more or less order of desirability, you're looking for:

Solids: eg. 77777777
Radars: eg. 01233210
Low numbers: eg. 00000012
Repeaters: eg. 12121212 or 01230123
Semi-solids: eg. 55577777
Date notes: eg. 06071972

In the hunt for "fancy" serial numbers, "almost" doesn't count. Your #4 note is "almost a radar", but no premium there.

Star notes (notes printed to replace notes withdrawn and destroyed because an error was detected in the printing) are worth a slight premium; how much depends on the series.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

I also thought that 7865 in the serial number would have been counted as a "ladder". Does it have to be all the digits from low to high or high to low?

I'm still going to keep the star note at least. I've crossed paths with a few of them, and wished I had learned more about them thanks again guys.
