I would not have called it a 'beauty'! From the seller's word it would not have been a beauty to begin with.
I would have liked to seen this one in hand first before making a decision to buy, to grade for myself and to make up my own mind more accurately, as to how much the cleaning has detracted from the value.
This coin is more sensitive to a subjective opinion than most.

Man with as many coins out there that are being faked, I would be cautious. I looked at the Reverse of that coin and it seems odd. I'd weigh that thing, and put it through as many tests as I could before I would consider it awesome. Sure it may be perfectly legit in every way, but I am always cautious when it comes to a "great find" on ebay. You get what you pay for - sometimes. |

I would agree. Comparative ring tone tests and weight would need to be done in this case.
Due diligence should be done with all valuable purchases. Make it a habit.
