I unfortunately have a buyer who has not paid after 14 days. I tried several honest communications ... sent an invoice and two e-mail messages asking for their intentions.

Four days ago I opened an unpaid item case within ebay. The resolution center says I can now close it. That's all fine .... and I know this will happen on occasion.

My question is how do I close the case? ebay instructions as follows:

To close a case:
1. Log in to the Resolution Center and find the case.
2. Answer the question Have you received payment from the buyer?
3. Click Close case.

I don't see those options. Under 'Take Actions' in the resolution center, I only have the option to "Receive final fee credit"

Appreciate any input from others who have done this.

Thanks

David

There should be a deal on your main selling page that shows your cases. If it is there, click on your case, and then it should ask you those questions. After you click the close case, it will tell you your fees will be refunded etc.

Yeah, it should be under resolution center if its not on your selling page. You should click either close case or "receive final value fee". This should then ask you the question of have you been paid or not. Hope this helps.

Yeah, the options should be there. If I can find them, anyb......

Sometimes ebay is not the easiest site to navigate. I think they make some things a little hard to find on purpose.

If you have sign up for Selling Manager, than is easy to spot the Resolution Center on the lower right hand corner of your screen.

There are 2 versions. Free and Pro, unless you're a full time ebay seller, free is more than sufficient for most casual buyer and seller.

Also, if you turn on the unpaid item assistant, ebay will automate the entire process. make sure you change the time period. Default is 30 days. I made mine 14.

Thank you all for the support ... with your guidance I learned a few new ebay processes today.

My unfortunate no-pay transaction is closed and I am moving on.
