Hello, I spotted this coin in a lot on ebay and am wondering if it is a gold coin from England minted during the early 1800s.
heres a pic:

Possible-Gold-Coin?

Looks French to me - even very blurred

Looks gold but I wouldn't bet on it with that kind of picture quality.

This guy is facing left (?) but my coin with Louis XV has him facing right. If French monarchs alternated like British ones do, this would more likely be XIV or XVI.

My first guess was a French brass jeton. If this is your only pic of it, I wouldn't bid the moon hoping that it turned out to be gold, because it probably isn't.
