Hello all, I had been looking into purchasing a nicer camera setup for my ebay listings based on some suggestions in this forum, but realized that my main problem was the fact that I took my photos freehand and they end up blurry. So, I built a stand from scrap wood, camera I am using is an Olympus FE 370. It worked!
Do the coin experts at CCF have any tips to further polish my pictures based on those down below? Light? Diffusing? Also, which background do you prefer for the BU roosevelt? White or Black? Thanks for the help.

Not bad.
I would suggest you back off on the amount of light.
There are some "hot spots" that wash out details.
Try just the one light source from the northwest.

Your lights are coming in around 45-deg, which is a bit too low. The minimum I consider acceptable for full-coin shots is 60-deg, and preferably 70-80. Bring 'em up higher. If you need to, put them between the camera and the coin, but block any direct light hitting the lens.

I have had success with putting white printer paper on three sides and then direct the light at the paper to reflect back on the coin. I also prefer a white color for the coin to rest on.
