Question On Color Of Coins Please!

freemike1115 New Member Canada 44 Posts	Posted 11/29/2013 12:52 am I got a big ziplock of pennys given to me today got some real nice red ones I think. But quite a few of the coins have almost like a rainbow on them or are missing color in some spots is this a flaw or from sitting with so many other for so long. The pics dont do justice when I move it around and look almost like it is losing its color Report this Post to the Staff

Fuzzy317 Moderator United States 14463 Posts	Posted 11/29/2013 12:59 am Most likely environmental toning/damage. The ones with clean spots were either cleaned (a no-no), or they were partially covered which resulted in the exposed areas changing color. Report this Post to the Staff
