I have 4 of the 71 silver dollars proofs I bought from RCM back in in 71. They all are in the mint boxes.
They have a real nice toning on all or them. Just gorgeous blues and golden browns.

I must be to old or to dumb to get pictures posted. I have tried over and over. I get them downsized then hit download, but the pics go away. I follow the directions on posting. Where am I going wrong?

I would love to share. Also several other other old coins and bills.

The mint boxes are flip open black boxes with coins open to air not sealed with RCM seal. How are those for value?

Most people will say those are specimen (not proof). Unless you have some really unique toning, they have a value around 20 bucks each.

They are 50% silver, 50% copper and the issue price was $3. The mintage was 585,217 though plenty of them were melted over the years when silver spot spiked.

Still very collectible IMO and hope you can get some pics up. Would love to see them.

You could perhaps try resizing the pictures on your computer first - be sure to save them with a different name so as not to conflict with the larger originals - then upload them to the site instead of trying to use the site's Image Optimizer. Each picture has to be uploaded separately.

I guess I need my Grandson to do the pics for me but He is in the Air Force doing computer things. So I will try again with your help.

I have several pics but cant get them to do much after I reduce the size and hit download and it disappears? into cyberspace

All 4 have beautiful toning, I've seen pics posted and these coins are comparable. Probable like DoubleEagles coin
Thanks for the help

Thanks CC-Ottawa for the info. I always thought they were proofs. They look like proof coins to me. I ordered them in 71 and put them away, all together probably why they toned the same

If you're using the Image Optimizer try saving the edited image to your hard drive (right click on the image), close it down, then just Upload Image to your post.

I tried on the Medals and Exonumia page with an old 1904 Teddy Roosevelt medal and 1898 Remember the Maine token. Took 2-3 hrs and still not to clear. I was born to early or I would know how.
