Look at the letters R, B, and S in the word "Pluribus" on top. It's probably not, but here it is anyway. I'm still learning the differences in different "errors". Thanks for any help! PS- I did a preview, but the pic does not show it as well, but it's there. Edited by brefos77 06/26/2007 7:47 pm

I use a 8 mega-pixel digital camera to take my pics. When I open it on my computer, it's very clear to see what I'm talking about. What's the best way to blow up just the word Pluribus while keeping the image clear? Coppercoins, I really value your opinion and I wanted to know what you thought.

I'm guessing with an 8MP camera your original image is on the order of 3456x2304 pixels, tight? Is the image that you're showing here uncropped, but downsized? That would make a cropped image of the Morgan large enough to show details. Do you have graphics software which will allow you to crop out just the section you require? That's the direction you have to go. If you lack the necessary software, just send me a full-size image (the address is my username here AT coincommunity.com), and I'll hook you up. It just has to happen in the next hour, because I have an early bedtime.

I'm assuming that this is a P mint? They are known for weak strikes that particular year, so I say MS-63.
As for variety, is there any way you can get a pic of the reverse and closeup of the date? Is there doubling on any of the stars? It's interesting because there does not seem to be anything listed for doubling in the motto (unless my eyes have overlooked something).

I really wish I could help you out. I too am still learning about different doubling. Maybe by bumping this up you can get more comments. As I am learning also I would like to know what kind of error/variety you have and what caused it.

ChristinaM, here are the pics you requested. If there's any places you want to see closer, just let me know and I'll zoom in on it as clear as possible.

I can't see anything to be honest, not as though I'm an expert anyway - but nice photo!

Thanks NumisMattyUk. Look at the 7th reply. It shows it closer and clearer.

Brefos - it's the 6th reply, but yes I can see a doubling on the bridge in the B and R and also on the 1900 but it was hard from the first pics.
