I have a 2008w reverse of 07 silver eagle It was originaly purchased as ANACS 2008 W silver eagle SP70 FDOI coin# 663 of 967. Years ago after the discovery of the 07 reverse it was sent back to ANACS to be reholdered as the reverse of 07, it was re holdered as 2008 W,ANACS- SP70, Satin Finish Silver Eagle,2007 Reverse Die Design,ANACS Certified, after a great deal of discussion it was agreed that they would also put on the reverse label: Formerly Labeled as ANACS Certified First Day of issue #663 of 967
I know it is not graded by the top two but it is still graded by a reputable TPG. I have never seen another one like it. Will there be an increased value? ANY INPUT APPRECIATED !

Those "ANACS Certified First Day of issue #663 of 967" type coins are made for the Home Shopping Network. Just like Early Release and whatever new label TPG's come out with are just marketing.

If you look at the POP of certain coins such as the State Quarters there are actually more Early Release coins in MS69 or Proof 69 than there are in regular holders.

Only if you can find someone more interested in buying the label than in buying the coin.

Are you talking about the coin itself, the ANACS SP70 designation, or the First Day of Issue #663 of 967 Label ?

The Coin itself is worth substantially more than a regular 2008 W. The ANACS SP70 designation, again is worth substantially more than an ungraded one, but maybe not as much as a PCGS or NGC 70 coin , but close.

The FDOI special label really does mean nothing except perhaps to the uninitiated.
