I'll say one thing about GSC, they certainly have a knack for acquiring key date coins.

I agree they do get some nice coins. I've bought from them a couple of times and I wasn't disappointed. Many of their auctions get bid way up, so I rarely win anything.

They are masters of photography and yes their pictures are juiced. But I prefer a clear picture like theirs compared to those fuzzy blurred pictures.

I've bought from GSC and yes their stuff does get suspiciously bid up -- but they have some nice coins and they do provide a decent service if you don't mind paying a little over graysheet bid

One note about GSC "Great Southern Coins," should you return anything for any reason, they do you the favor of banning you from participating in future auctions. Eventually I hope they ban the entire ebay numismatic community.

It never ceases to amaze me what this crook gets for cleaned / altered 1955 double die cents:

Study the bidding. Isn't it something how this guy always bids, but never seems to win, only on GSC's high priced coins: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI....one_ViewLink

How do you spell S-H-I-L-L?

I agree this is ridiculous, but did you really need to dig up a thread from three years ago?!

I bid on one of their ebay auctions a few months ago. Won the item for a reasonable price. Somehow they got a hold of my email address and I have been getting spam emails from then ever since. Every day I get an email from them.

I could have created another post but I figured I'd just continue with an existing one.

Interesting auction here on a date/mm I'm looking to purchase: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1884-S-Morg...AOSwKtlWhZQd ... another coin I'm sure isn't 'choice' in any way. Looking at the 'spirited' bidding so far (33 bids at this time), look what we find:

- Top bidder: g***9 with 11 bids total, 100% of them with greatsoutherncoins.
- Next bidder: r***l with 64 bids total, 28% with greatsoutherncoins.
- Next bidder: t***- with only one bid on this coin
- Next bidder: 0***5 with only 9 bids, 89% with greatsoutherncoins.
- Next bidder: 1***0 with 409 bids, 94% with greatsoutherncoins.
- Next bidder: b***b with 312 bids, 86% with greatsoutherncoins.
- Next bidder: k***0 with 348 bids, 98% with greatsoutherncoins.

All these satisfied customers who predominately bid just on greatsoutherncoins! Right...

This guy doesn't just shill at the end, he has an entire battery of shillers to keep the bid count high throughout the entire auction period!

I got the same emails until I had to 'block' them using my email client. And this is from an ebay seller WHO BLOCKED ME FROM BIDDING ON HIS COINS!
