Well known for tricky photos on ebay... I would never buy from them.

Same here, I avoid them as well. Don't trust their photography

Is there a particular ebay seller that annoys you no end? I just started this topic. They have been a thorn in my seat for a long time. Fairtraiderz indeed! More like snake oil sellers. GSC is way up there in the 'suspect' group of sellers. So, beyond these two who else should we know about?

... and what is up with shipping in four to five days? Just drop it in a mailer and be done with it... Why would that take five days?

Consignment Hub beyond a doubt. They never knew a coin that didn't need a harsh cleaning...

I've bought from GSC and have been quite pleased. However, my two, purchases were not overbid which is why I won in the first place. I believe they shill bid because I have never seen so many last hour buds by brand new eBayers as I do on their coins.

I bought one coin from GSC but it was slabbed.
I knew their reputation before I bid but again the coin was slabbed so they could doctor the photos all they wanted and I didn't have to worry about it.
Wasn't that the original idea behind slabbed coins: coins be sold or traded sight unseen without the receiving party having to worry about what they were getting.

I still want to know why it takes five days to mail a coin... seems kind of lazy to me.

I too have bought from them before on ebay. Nice coins, decent deal, good service. They had a set of coins , over priced. They sat un-bid upon for several weeks, they took them off active bid and just listed them in their store. I made them an offer that was more in line with what the coins were worth. They accepted, easy transaction. They say 4-5 days so that when you receive them in 3 you are pleasantly surprised. And so that if it does take 5 days, you are not jumping up and down saying " you said 3 days ......"
