XF details but ... I'm guessing that the pic may be darkened as the coin was heavily whizzed. Two other nickels he has listed seem to have suffered similarly, yet not as severely.

Not pertaining to this listing ... but to "honesty in advertising". I have come to accept the fact the BU stands both for "brilliant uncirculaed" ... and "beat up". Sellers who are totally clueless and inexperienced at dealing in coins ... like to throw around terms that they don't (apparently) know the meaning of. These same guys will list a G-4Indian head as Red or Red/Brown.

Makes it all entertaining, though.

I've actually started to notice quite a few listings from sellers putting the word 'details' to mean that the coin is actually detailed. Like, XF details meaning, 'It has the details of an XF coin'. I actually like these listings because if the picture shows a problem free XF coin, for example, I usually get it for dirt cheap.
