Possible Error Or Am I Just A Newbie?

This one is a 1951 and very obviously bent in a weird way, not from use. Looking for a yes or no and maybe the worth of this penny. Thank you in advance. Report this Post to the Staff

This looks like it was bent after it left the mint so this would be considered post mint damage ( PMD) and detract from any numismatic value (if there is any). I think is most likely worth 1 cent unless it is an attributable variety. Report this Post to the Staff

Collector-Corner Pillar of the Community 872 Posts	Posted 12/10/2013 10:40 am yep, more than likely post mint damage ( PMD). Some one may have tried using it as a screwdriver or other tool, and it cave under pressure. Damage to a coin is simply that. Like anything else of value, if it is damaged, it probably will not bring a premium. More than likely it will reduce the value. Report this Post to the Staff
