NGC MS69 American Silver Eagles 1986-2010 in NGC boxes. Priced to me for 849.00. Good deal or not?

@ $34 per coin...that is I am assuming there are 25 coins and it includes the 96, I say a pretty good deal if you like slabs. If you figure the 96 as an $80 coin (based on ebay sales figures) you would have $769 in the other 24 which averages out to be $32 per coin. Common date MS69 NGC slabs run between $32-$50 each on ebay....so you be the judge

At about 35 per coin, its a decent deal. I've seen shorter runs go for more.

1996 is the expensive one off the top of my head and the rest usually sell in the 30-40 range I believe

I wouldn't pay more for ASE's. They're not coins to me. I only buy them for a dollar or two over melt value. That is what I believe they are only worth.

But however if you enjoy them, I say buy them for yourself. Coins are to collect for fun right?

I'm with solotime on this. I wouldnt pay that much of a premium for bullion. But that is just my opinion.

Yes, that's a fairly good deal. With these sets, I consider the cost of getting that many slabbed myself.

It's not a bad deal, but if you are not in a hurry a better deal might be out there.

My son and I have been collecting these over the years. That is a good deal. Jump on it, you will not get a better deal anytime soon.
Don't listen to the "slab naysayers" , we collect what we like , not what we think we can " make a buck " on, that is not collecting. Nor is considering anything other than classic, non slabbed, formerly circulating legal tender, the only "real" coin.

Went today and made the purchase. Beautiful set. Kinda like you denco7, not looking to get rich, I just enjoy the coins. Slabs or old classics, but I don't want to get stupid and over pay. One day when I hand my collection down to my grandson I just hope he enjoys!

The only thing that matters is if you liked the price and enjoy owning the coins.
