Just bought some sweet ships colonies and commerce tokens the first one is a SHC-6 also known as a Breton 997, or a Lees # 8
In EF condition (with upset dies is this normal)
And the second one is a SHC-15 also known as a Lees # 26 with regular medal axis also on EF condition with a great patina and beautiful problem free surfaces

My question is the first one is getting green and I know this is a sign of corrosion so how do I get rid of it and stop any possible corrosion that might be on it and don't worry I know how much cleaning sucks.
Also how much is the first one worth if it is a nice EF with light corrosion.

Thanks.

You may want to read the post "to clean or not to clean"
Long before you partake in any cleaning of your coins, get to know what your doing.

Green discoloration is not necessarily corrosion. Usually it is a sign of Sulfur in the air in the form of SO or SO2. To start with consider where you live and what may be in the air. Try simply an Acetone dip and/or Distilled water. No picking, no scrubbing, no polishing, etc. Regardless of the outcome, I'd suggest not doing anything else for now. Simply make sure all your Copper coins are in at least a 2x2 flip. Many people in some areas have Copper pipes that too turn green from the same problem. In some areas even Copper grounding systems vanish into a pile of Cupric Salts. Best thing is to make sure your coins are in as much of an air tight situation as possible.

The "green" is verdigris, it will form on all copper coins eventually. The good news, if it's light to moderate, it can be conserved using a product like VC. You can also simply stabilize it buy rinsing with acetone (which will dehydrate it) and using proper storage methods.

Try searching for the forum for "verdigris". I'm sure you find more information than you can take in.
