Don't be too quick to call it PMD. I have purchased seven, mint sealed 5000 count Lincoln Cent bags in the past 4 months. What I have seen is damage similar to this in these BU bags.
Typically it shows a pronounced area on the rim main, but seems to "lean towards" either the obverse or reverse. About 180 degrees across the coin, is another area of damage, and the other area is typically less damage and leans to the other side of the coin.

This coin looks similar - the Obverse shows damage almost due south. I bet there is slight damage on the rim to the North, maybe a little more accented on the Reverse.

Hard to say what the marks are. Could be an extraction tool, coin got caught temporarily on its way to the bag, or otherwise.

I would have to say, in the Brilliant Uncirulated bags, I have seen between 30-50 of these in a variety of different levels of damage. I typically look them over for any other classic symptoms, and if there isn't any RPM or DDO / DDR features, I simply let them go.

Thanks yes there is some damage to the north and south part of coin. I will post pictures of the reverse also of north damage of coin. I have several Wheat penny's that have similar damage. Thanks again

If it were damaged on the sorting/extraction/bagging process wouldn't it still be PMD? If it were damaged in the actual stamping process then it could be classified as a Mint Error but once properly coined anything beyond would be PMD.
