I was fully committed to not spending any more money this side of Christmas but I made the mistake of looking on Vcoins :S

Well I have been after a full sized Boetia Stater for a while but to get what I want for the price I want to spend is a bit of an ask. Anyway this little Obol popped out at me as a nice little coin and an example of the Boetian shield.

Then I thought I would check out the sea turtle coins, all are thousands of pounds except for a few badly beaten up examples. There was one little one though ^^ the only sea turtle obol on the site as far as I am aware and it was added on Friday... well I couldn't resist adding a younger brother to accompany my full sized one and I reckon given the rarity of the type it is a good coin to sit on. So I bit the bullet and got this little fella too ^^

Very nice pickups! One of these days I want to get a sea turtle but yeah... they're pricey.

Is that a BCD ticket with the Boetian shield? I'm trying to find some examples of his (his? her?) handwriting.

Very nice coins. For being so small they still retain nice details.

The ticket was merely described as "original collectors ticket" It did occur to me that it might be a BCD ticket but I can't say for certain. It looks like male writing to me but meh not always obvious the gender of the writer.

I don't like small coins normally but these looked like fun and were under £100 each... there are a couple of other small ones I am after (Messembria Corinthian helmet and wheel being one such small coin...just hard to find a centred one for a good price)

Nice "little" recruits. If your looking for super tiny silver coins few did them better than the Archaic Greeks.

To answer the question about the ticket, yes, it is a BCD ticket.

Nice coins. David!
