im not sure if this is an actual error or a fake or something so I thought I would put it up here to get your guys opinion

It was probably a made into a piece of jewelry at one point. The added metal is from the a loop for a chain or the last remnants of the coin being mounted to a ring.

Agree. It looks like a dab of solder.
Most likely a jewelry piece.
The front looks cleaned while the reverse does not, so I lean towards a ring.
