Help With Id. Foreign Coin - Coin Community Forum

My knowledge of coins is limited to the change I find in my pockets so I wasn't very sure how to research this but I'm nervous about taking it to a dealer or retailer. Any info would be much appreciated. There are no markings or writing on either face or the edge. I found this in my giant change jar and I have no idea where I aquired it. Thanks. The prow looks like the distinctive animal head representations on boats of natives of the Pacific Northwest. So much so, I'll venture the river they're traveling down is the Columbia.
