Hello everyone,

Bought this today. What would you suggest when I sell it.

Graded or raw?

Thanks for any help.

Charlene

Raw, the 1921 Morgan's are among the most common, so it is not a rare coin, although the Denver minted coins are a little more uncommon. Grading will cost you money and not add to the value of the coin.

Raw it will be.

Would this coin be an LDS since the S is not completely missing?

Thanks everyone.

VAM-1A2 is actually an EDS version of the die pair; Prooflike examples are known. It has to be considered a "die state" rather than a VAM of its' own, of course, but it's one of the rare ones which has a strikethrough as a recognized die state. The downside is, it's recognized because there are so many examples of it.

As a 1A2, it's LDS because grease is already filtering out of the die. It'll still bring a premium because of interest, and it's still a Top 100 coin, so this is no time to be disappointed.

I ACTUALLY thought this through to think it is an LDS. Quite an accomplishment for me.

I'm not disappointed. Got a good BIN price.

Thank you SsuperDdave for your informative (as usual) response.
