No new purchases as of late to share so I'd thought I'd showcase all my monogrammed coins, all being scarce to rare and most being tiny in size. I'll post at least two or three a day and in chronological order by emperor and time era of striking. You may post here any you may have if you wish.

Here is a helpful page containing to my knowledge most of the monograms during this era: http://www.ancientcoinmuseum.com/Hi...NOGRAMS.html

I don't have a Theo II monogram (looking for one of course) so I'll be starting off with:

Marcian, Eastern Roman Emperor (450-457 AD)
AE Nummus
Obv: DN MARCIANVS PF AVG, pearl-diademed, draped bust right
Rev: Monogram of Marcian within wreath, cross above
Coin #1: CON in ex, Constantinople, RIC X 545
Coin #2: CHES in ex, Thessalonika, RIC X 535
Coin #3: CVZ in ex, Cyzicus, RIC X 564

That third coin is the most well-preserved Marcian I have ever seen! You can actually read part of his name and see the cross above his monogram. Fascinating!

Three nice coins. I don't have a Marcian yet.
