Here is One of Five dimes I happened to buy sometime ago and would like to see what you all though of them. My self I don't really know what to call this type of mistake . I hope the 3 third party photos look okay after being reduced in size.

Thanks in advance for any help and or advice given

Charles

Part of it could be a clash. Here is an overlay.

But it kind of looks like tape/glue at one time placed on the coin?

Coop,

To the best of my limited knowledge none of the dimes have had tape on them ( I went and looked at them, it looks like either early tone or I wonder if the dime roll paper had gotten damp or wet and transferred something from the paper on to the dimes) I was told they are exactly as they come out of an old Dime roll.

The guy told me he had a hard time selling them, don't recall how many were in that one OBW of dimes. My self I have had people act like a coin with errors has the some plague or disease and want nothing to do with them, others seem to think an error coins are worth less money (some say worthless trash) if you have one or more in a mint set they lowered the sets value.

BTW fancy photo work you did to the dime photos overlay, got to learn how you all take such good pictures and the overlay work.

many Thanks,
Charles

It is a stock image from the U.S. Mint location. It works very well after I edit it to make an overlay.
