Reverse looks nice but the obverse is very ugly. I couldn't even venture a guess at grade with that toning.

It does look mint state... but the toning could be hiding some scratches...

MS-64 for now.

it does currently reside in the original packaging with the rest of that years mm coins so its not been circulated, only handled in some shape or form in the past 55 years

it is ugly on the obverse but it could make a high grade if the graders find it just mottled over a perfectly preserved surface, no?

I always wonder why some coins make 67 and they're mainly toned to some extent. What's "perfect"?

and its worth the thought in my mind because I paid a whopping $103 for the entire set and if enough make MS65 + can pay for the price of admission and then some even with slab premium.

I can't really tell from these pics. What kind of camera were you using?

A lousy one

You're looking at diffused lighting pics here, I'll use some light and capture luster and do a comparison collage

Haha. To be clear, I wasn't knocking your photography skills. I'm no Ansel Adams.

Oh believe me, I have no photography Skills to knock my friend. I am using an iPhone with halogen desktop lamps (x2) and a nimbus cloud dome for the diffused shots.
