Has anyone else ever tried this method? It seems like it works quite well! *Images from Other Forum It would probably be easier to use one of these glasses, so it doesn't take up so much space, vertically. Spott Valued Member United States 263 Posts	Posted 12/18/2013 04:43 am I did something similar but a lot cruder. My good camera with the macro lens died. I tried using a point & shoot but my hand wasn't steady enough to satisfy me. I placed the coin at the bottom of a tall drinking glass next to a desk light and laid the camera on top of the glass. It could have been better if I'd played with the lighting, but it made a good enough tripod to get a post-able image. Now I know what country the coins are from. Report this Post to the Staff
