After looking at a ton of images in a couple places trying to attribute this (I don't have a book) I tentatively believe this to be N-36. That would make my day, as I randomly bought this to fill the hole in my Dansco Type Set album. Too many varieties for this year to contemplate, I just knew it wasn't one of the repunched dates (obvious ones to look for) when I bought it. Experts, what say you? N-36 is R6! It appears (to me at least) that the date numeral placements matches up along with star 13 with the neck for the variety. Also the features in 'ONE CENT' seem to match up with the variety on the reverse. Additionally the leaves on the wreath appear to match up with all the letters (basically the only diagnostic I understand how to use, but that might only work with Half Cents, ) Experts help!

UPDATE: Took a second look and am not sure about the rust spot on Liberty's neck . There is a mark in the spot where you would expect just not as big as in other examples. It is raised not a ding. Need an expert to attribute it. I'm not it!

UPDATE2: False alarm, I believe this to be N-17. Common.

I borrowed the NOyes book from the ANA library and it did not help me on these late dates because the way they are described seems like it must be an uncirculated cent to attribute. We could sure use a simplified guide on this for circulated!
