kanga Pillar of the Community United States 5825 Posts	Posted 12/20/2013 09:49 am Couple of die cracks visible on the obverse. Nice even toning with no significant handling marks. Typical weak strike most noticeable on the III on the reverse. I don't see any wear so if it's not MS then it'll be high AU (the hairline scratches on the reverse bother me a bit). IF it were to get an MS grade the weak strike would hold it back some (probably no higher than a -64). Report this Post to the Staff

It would not surprise me if this is MS. But what is going on with this! I do not think I have seen a lump in the hair like that before (to the right of the coronet) - die cracks are cool and I am surprise to not see any Longacre doubling. Moe145 Pillar of the Community United States 8904 Posts	Posted 12/20/2013 12:55 pm This looks like a very nice and detailed strike on the obverse with a bit of an incomplete strike on the reverse (with some wear). I like AU-50 for this one. with CoinsKelly: the hair lump is a strange anomaly but the die cracks are always cool! Report this Post to the Staff
