San Augustine man, friend allegedly steal more $250K in coins, guns
http://www.ktre.com/story/24244031/...n-coins-guns

Stories like this are really the worst. Can't imagine a person member selling out their own family. What if the accomplices that they let into the house to remove the items turned violent?

Coins cant be insured at all because they are money?
I feel for the victims, I'm sure it hurts all the more knowing it was your son who did that. My guess is the kid got involved in drugs and started stealing small(they said it wasn't the first time he stole, just the first time the parents pressed charges)amounts and after getting away with it decided to go for it all.
At least it sounds like they are going to get most of the coins back. I wonder what they told the dealer they sold them to, I know for me it would set off bells in the back of my head if a 20 year old kid came in trying to sell tens of thousands of dollars in coins for cash.
