Now that's a nice looking coin Benji!!! I don't have too much of an idea on grade as it's hard for me on these without the toning. Only thing that sticks out to me is the talons on the reverse. Are they worn down that much, or is it a strike problem. With the toning, I don't see anything lower than AU on the obverse. I'm assuming any significant rub would be seen at the toning per say. Of course, I could be way off here.....

You are spot on tights24. The talon is the first place I look for wear on these and their smalling sibling, the CBH10c. On this particular piece I think the reverse is weakly struck which is quite common for these open collar designs but, I also think this one has a bit of wear on talons and the top of wings.

I'd say AU-50. Nice coin. I don't know the series well, so don't know if weak strikes are a common problem. If they are, this could actually go MS Unc. The wear on the talons and the wrist joint along the leading edge of the right wing doesn't seem "flattened" to my eye, more rounded, especially the wing. To me that says poor strike more than "wear."

Just my thoughts...I sure wouldn't kick that coin out of my collection!
