All I have remaining for a CBH date set is: 1807 1811 1813 1815 1820 1837 1839 All PCGS with only two NGC exceptions.. I've ordered the Bust Half Fever second edition on DVD. How bad have I caught it? LOL Edited by DoubleEagle20 12/22/2013 03:15 am

Based on your limited amount remaining for the date set I would say you have a terminal case of bust half fever. there is no cure. The only way to prolong life is a monthly injection of CBH's.

As a temporary solution buy two Bust quarters. That might ease your fever a bit.

You might as well go ahead and shoot for Bust Half Nut Club membership now.

Yep. I think the solution is to give at least one crusty busty a month a permanent home, muddler. I'm already starting to aim at the varieties of 1834, so who knows SuperDave...BHNC could be a possibility down the road sometime. I do think eventually I need a Busty denomination set as well, matthew. Good point on your part.

It's a nice kind of fever! I'm missing the 1815 and it continues to elude me (and my budget). Quote: a monthly injection of CBH's Great idea muddler. Maybe someone needs to start a CBH of the month subscription service. I'd rather receive a CBH every month instead of oranges and grapefruit from Florida.

Well...they say the first part to dealing with an addiction is owning up to it...lol...so here it goes. I am a crusty busty addict. (Dancing orange for you, cipster...lol.) I'm gonna stall on the 1815, cipster. I am thinking I will go to the 2015 FUN show and just browse to see if I can find one in a genuine holder I can tolerate or bite the bullet and shop around for a decent lower grade one. No rush for me on that coin. Good things come to those who wait, as the old saying goes. I learned that on my 1852-O Double Eagle.

Quote: You might as well go ahead and shoot for Bust Half Nut Club membership now. Of course, 100 different Overtons (required for membership) is a tough "nut" to bust! Here's their website anyway: http://busthalfnutclub.org/

LOL probably. I think you have to be put up for membership by a member too. Its by far the hardest collector group to get into I've ever seen

Reading their website...it does definitely require dedication to become a member and to stay one. I'm just gonna let my CBH addiction play out for now and see where it takes me. I don't care much if I have duplicates with CBH's, for instance. I'm gonna aim for the crusty eye appealling ones, with eventual completion of a date set including 1837, 1838 and 1839.

I haven't even bought my first bust half for my 7070 yet so I am envious, I only currently own a bust dime.
