Probably covered before , whats a good clue that a coin has been cleaned.
I have some older pennies I bought and they look to shiny to me.

Shiny pennies don't necessarily mean cleaned. A lot of older penny's are in mint state or almost uncirculated condition and retain much of their luster. Scratched on the coin all pointing in one direction mean the coins was likely cleaned. A super shiny coin that has faded or smudged details may mean that it is polished. Pictures of your pennies would allow us to give you an accurate answer.
