I find that the older coin auction catalogs to be of great use for reference purposes and great photography.

Does anyone here have the January 13, 2003 Sid and Alicia Belzberg Auction Canadian Coin Catalog.#312..?.
...and did anyone here attend this auction of the greatest Canadian coins ever seen.?

...or..does anyone have the great Norweb Catalog from the 90's? The Norweb book has an amazing descriptions of little know coin facts.''

... or any other great ones that we sometimes talk about here.?

I have the Bowers and Merena 'Robert Rusbar' Collection catalogue from Sept. 1990, I believe held in NYC.

I think this was at a time of a low point in the Canadian market (maybe US too) and the prices realized for all of these 'gems' was very, very low.

I wasn't buying then but in hindsight, I should have been.

20/20 hindsight ..when it comes to buying coins...is always going to be part of the game...

...and in reflection...the prices are to die for....

Sometimes you see the # 312 Belzberg Canadian coin catalog offered for big $$$. I believe that the catalog was offered in hard or soft cover editions.

They did manage to collect the best of the best..and so many specimens too..and so many "one of" coins.

I think that they pulled the very rare British Columbia Patterns out before the actual auction..They were listed at the back of this catalog. Estimates were not given for only these last rare pieces. Most sold near the estimates back in 03.
