Uhh...that's nowhere near Vancouver, sorry--wish I had an idea. Update: there are starkly less coin shops N of 49, and Kelowna is an all-day trip; it's a shorter trip to Spokane My best recommendation is buying through mail from J&M in Vancouver, or George Manz in Regina, SK. I've had good success with both dealers.

I think Kelowna would be the closest I don't know if Cranbrook has any or not. I would check all the pawn shops, antique stores, hobby shops that type of stores.

Hugh Powell (a CAND dealer) lives in Cranbrook I think. He does not have a coin store though, he does the show circuits.

Hugh attends the Vancouver shows amongst others but is NOT in Cranbrook. Eastern BC is was and always has been "numismatic desert". One would think that Nelson would be a great area for coins considering that it is the heart of silver country and on the old north / south trade route with Spokane Washington and Couer D'Alene Idaho. I lived in Cranbrook for years and there were about three of us who shared a strong interest in coins. Did buy lots of stuff out of the area and sold lots in Spokane. There were plenty of US and CANADA dollars and halves back in the 60's and 70's.

Correction, Hugh Powell (Newcan Coins) lives in Enderby (northern Okanagan Valley), I think it was in Cranbrook where he hurt his neck 18 months ago...

Nelson is also the home of the rare JOP dollar.
