I hate to see a new members post go unanswered so let me say "Welcome"
and I believe the reason no one has answered may be because we are clueless. The US did not make centennial 1/2 dollars and our bicentennial 1/2 dollars have only one type. Maybe you are talking about something other than US 1/2 dollars

The 1976 Kennedy half dollar is referred to as a type 4 bicentennial reverse
