I couldn't think of a better place to put it. Mods, if there is a more appropriate place for this topic to be, please move it there.

From the mid 1980s to mid 1990s, my dad saved all of his change, dividing it between pennies and everything else (quarters, dimes, nickels etc.) He ended up cashing in the silver change jar () but he kept the one full of pennies. I went through it looking for wheats several years ago, but I left all of the LMCs because I had no idea any of those could be worth more than one cent.

I now have time to begin properly searching through the jar, and I am quite excited as to what I may find in there.

I am hoping against hope for a 1983 DDR to replace the one I found CRHing last year but then misplaced.

I will keep you guys updated on what, if any, finds I make.

Happy Holidays!

I think we are good here, the goal is the same.

Good luck!

By the way, if it makes you feel better posting this here, my wife's aunt sent me her change jar (well, she shipped them in a box; roughly $50 or so) and I planned on posting any finds in CRH as well.

I am getting into searching that jar, and I made a disturbing discovery. My dad appears to have spilled a can of Pepsi into the jar at one point, and most of the coins have some traces of stickiness.

Ouch on the sticky stuff ... but best wishes on what you may find in that jar.
