My sister bought a box of coins at an auction and inside was a coin we are having difficulty identifying. It appears to be a spanish piece of 8 with a cross on one side and a P, S and I on the other. We think it might be from Potosi but unfortunately it is a fragment. Any help identifying the coin would be greatly appreciated.
zxcccxz : no need for this, that monogram was only used on half reales, and the cross is typical of the Mexico mint :) But it's still a good general recommendation :)
