For those of you in the greater Ottawa area, it might be of interest to you to learn that Alliance Coin & Banknote has a new website, including lots of information on the anatomy of a coin, history of collecting and useful links. http://www.alliancecoin.com/site/landingpage.cfmI always appreciate when a coin dealer puts in an effort to promote the hobby like this. Is all that he is selling those little world sets? I have never dealt with them ... perhaps the better stuff doesn't make it to the website. I would think some Canadian coins might be a good fit ... I didn't see them. Yes Sean is still doing the CCN Trends as of CCN issue Feb. 25, 2014. Best Regards, George

Nice looking website but zero Canadian content. Maybe I am use to being able to search so many coins on ebay, but I assume a Canadian coin dealer would have Canadian coins for sell on their website.

He usually puts out price lists of all of his inventory a few times a year... if you want, you can have yourself added to his email list

Sean built a website that would benefit the new or novice collector with useful information and links. He did not build a Gatewest or Colonial Acres style digital inventory list for shopping - that is not Sean's style...

Quote: "Many long-appreciated rarities have indeed proven to be scarce, while numerous issues that were previously dismissed due to bountiful mintages have proven to be considerable scarcer than anticipated (especially in higher grades)." Could this be because people just don't think to get their common dates graded? There's no reason to, is there?
