HI Everyone, I'm disposing of a friend's collection and he had this note without a serial number, but it appears washed out, with heavy wear, and looks more like someone washed it with bleach to get the serial numbers off it....any opinions? See Scan beside a regular 1954 $1 note.....

It has definitely been altered.

You can still see a small trace of the serial number.

Maybe someone just left it in their pants and it went through a wash cycle!
