Here is a 1984 DDO I found about 10 days ago. I've been looking for one of these ever since I first heard of them. It was difficult for me to photograph the coin and pick up the doubling. The T & Y in liberty are doubled as well as the front of Lincolns face and ear. I'm not sure which variety it is, any ideas?

The pictures are too far out to see any doubling on the TY, but from what I can see on the nose and beard, it appears to just be Machine Doubling (flat and shelf-like), which is very common and has no additional value. Closer pictures would tell for sure. Keep looking though! I thought I had the 1984 doubled die as well, had doubling on the ear and bowtie. However, it didn't exactly match the pictures. It wasn't until years later that I learned (from this website) about Machine Doubling vs. true doubled dies.

Thanks for the closer images. It is Machine Doubling. When the outside edge of the bust is affected, it is usually Machine Doubling.
