Hi all, I'm new to the forum.
I just received a one ounce privy horse from Provident and it came in a plastic flapper, the coin had a very small dent on the rim of the coin, will that decrease the value of the coin in the future? will those coins have any value after 10 years or so?
what should I do? should I return it or keep it?

Thank you in advance

yes they will have value ... not sure about how much though
better stay with original non-privy versions of lunar coins ...
so I'd return it and buy non-privy ones

Well firstly to CCF! Secondly, this will reduce the value to anywhere from $1 over melt (if the mark is miniscule and I do mean very small) to actually have the coin sell for slightly under spot if the dent is distracting. You should definitely return it.

I'd return it too. But keep the Privy.

These coins (Canada Silver Maple Leaf varieties) usually come in the tubes and not sealed individually (but there are exceptions). And this dent caused by other coin in the tube.
So, if you return this one, you may receive the other one with some other imperfections.

As a collector, that put the coins on display - yes, this is not great, but the value of the coin - the same as for similar, and nothing wrong with it.
