Well I could think of worse ways to spend money.. At least you have something of value to show for it. If you ever get in a pinch you might have something to fall back on.

Possibly everyone is looking at this all wrong. Might well be saying to him, go back and get me more, more, more.

I completely negated any objection my wife may have had to spending whatever I wanted to on coins.
Before we married I sold the entire collection I had, which raised enough money for about 25% of the value of our first house. I lodged the deeds of the house solely in her name, and paid the mortgage off entirely from my own income. That was done to protect the house from any professional indemnity claims that I may have had against me during my career. As it turned out, I never had a professional claim lodged against me.
Right from the very start, I knew that I could completely trust her, and that's exactly the way it turned out.

I've been known to ship coins to places other than my house. I handle the finances in the house so it's easier for me that way.

sel 691 thanks for sharing your story. This picture reminds me that.... I think this happened when I bought a 1795 lettered edge large cent. I don't think she started choking me me until I corrected her. "Actually honey in the US we call them cents and not pennies".
