Anybody ever try these ? I have lots of silver rounds and 1 ounce bars that this would be really useful with.I know they're made of polypropylene but I'm not sure if that contains the dreaded pvc. Maybe one of our chemists will drop in...

I use the white Air-tite sure-safe round holders for all of my "for the future" ASEs and foreign silver (when I have it). I have never had a problem with them, and they are very convenient, small enough to tuck away somewhere, and sturdy. I even printed labels for them to mark which ones have my ASEs and which ones have my foreign silver. I get mine locally, for $2.99 at the LCS, if that helps give you an idea of what you should be paying.

There is no PVC (polyvinylchloride) or chlorine in polypropylene. Those two are separate compounds made from different bases. Polypropylene is considered a stable, relatively inert substance that does not break down easily or exude noxious substances over time. Your coins are safe, unless the containers are exposed to too much heat.

Sweet, that was the answer I was waiting for. I did a little Googling and was fairly sure they were safe but thought I would run it by everyone. Thanks !
