Considering sending a prized au 50 1946 silver dollar with a DDR, DDO and a die clash to cccs and was wondering if you think its a good company, is it worth it to send it in and if they will specify the DDO, DDR and die clash.

In Canada and for Canadian coins ICCS is considered the top company but CCCS also seems to have a pretty good reputation as well. Is it a good idea to send it to them, on that I have no idea.

I think this will get more appropriate attention in the Canadian Forum.

dollarman, CCCS is super and if you ask him he most likely will..Unless he feels that the designation is not warranted..Remember he has to see them clearly...Only downfall is the turn around time..Its a bit slow

I find ICCS and CCCS grading to be equivalent. ICCS tightly controls what goes in the Comments field however while CCCS will put just about anything you like (as long as it's valid). And, as you say, CCCS offers slabs.

CCCS will pretty much specify anything you want in the comment field... I'll refrain from speaking to their accuracy and precision of said comments.
