I have a guy wanting to sell me a 1945-S Quarter that I think is RPM-003 & DDR-002 combo. I don't have any reference pics to go by, but the S is a trumpet tail with a wide northwest spread. It's naked eye seen. QUARTER also has a nice spread.

Does anyone know of any pics I can compare it to?

How much would you be willing to pay for a BU example?

I want to offer a fair price if it is what I think it is. Thanks all!

Price? I can't help you. But the coin looks like it came from a very worn die. The UNUM/tail feathers is almost missing. I can't tell if it is a doubled die or RPM or not? The image doesn't show what we need to see.

From your photo I do not see any doubling on "QUARTER" and the mint mark is not clear.A close up or the area would be helpful.

Sorry, I didn't realize the pic was so bad. I cropped the mm & quarter. You still may not be able to tell about quarter, but the mm is easy. The you has easily seen notches at the top in the original pic he sent me. After image optimizer, it looses some clarity. Try this.

I assume then that you are shopping on ebay and not some "guy trying to sell you a coin"

If there is a return policy and you want to take a gamble go for it.

Otherwise it is your call between you and your "guy"

Busted. I decided not to go for it anyway. I had just spent about 3 hrs trying to cherrypick something and this was all I noticed. I'm on a very limited coin budget so I couldn't go high at all. I just didn't want to run out in the open to get sniped. Thanks all and I hope to see it if someone on here bought it. It looks like a cool variety.
