It wasnt cheap, but a nice one to close 2013! I won the auction of a well known seller on ebay. A sestertius of Hadrian, I love it already! Fair price. Big sellers always get real money ....... That's just the way it is !
The holidays are always good for bargain hunting. Some of my nicest pieces were bought in the month of December. I like the green/black patina.
A coin like this you can tell at a glance that you are holding the 'real deal'
Good pick up ...... You are learning the ways of patience. It always pays off in the end. Handsome coins like this can always be turned over if your attentions go somewhere else. You have done well.
PS In a dealers shop you might easily pay double !

Thanks Furius, I agree with you, and I didnt do too bad luckily.
After spotting this coin, I couldnt let it go...with a little patience these kind of coins can be bought for fair prices yes!

Reverse legend is a bit weak, but you have a very superior coin if it has strong reverse legends on a sestertius of this period, and you will have to pay LOTS for it.
Nevertheless, a pleasing coin.
I certainly would like to have it in my collection!
You have done well.
