I have a $2 note which I like the design of. Does anyone know the best way of getting an example with a good serial number?

Also, how expensive are Continental Currency fractionals and large size notes?

Whats wrong with the serial number that's on the one you already have and like. Or are you more interested in collecting numbers than you are currency ?.

What's the serial on the one you have, and what would you consider a good one and rather have?

Large size notes vary a great deal, depending on the year and denomination. I was just looking at a 1917 $2 that was in pretty nice condition that sold for about $100. Large 1917 $1 in fine seem to go for around $50 US. I haven't looked up any continental currency lately.

Nothing wrong with the current ote, but its hardly collecting to own a single $2 note.

Any interesting number would do me - a Radar, binary, whatever the things are called. Spice it up a bit - Currently, theres a side which has nothing of interest to me on it (although, it does say A1 and 7 - are these the position on the printing plate?)

I agree, having just one $ 2.00 note is not collecting, so if you like $ 2.00 notes why don't you try collecting a series of them such as one from each series year they were printed, something like what coin collectors do, you can even find one from FW and DC, again it would be like a "coin" mint mark from the different areas they are printed in. Or one of each type such as a FRN, a US Red Seal Note, or you can also go into some of the Large Size Silver Cert $ 2.00's.

There's a lot of different ways to set up a nice interesting collection of interesting "different" $ 2.00 notes. And it would be a lot less costly than trying to find just one "special" serial number, especially if your looking for something like a solid number or a real low number. Even if you do find one that's affordable you will still only have one $ 2.00 note, like you said, it's hardly collecting having just one $ 2.00 note.

I often thought that it's a good thing coins don't have serial numbers, it would drive those guys that collect them nuts.
