Not the best, but not the worst either. I have the $10 and $20 now, next I need the $50 one.

Like you, I have $10 and $20 gold certificates in small notes. I keep my eyes open for $50 and $100 Gold certificates, but I am not sure I want to drop that much money.

Thanks everyone. I've been looking for a $50 one, but as mentioned above, they get quite pricey. I'd have to settle for a very low grade. I couldn't begin to touch a $100 gold certificate.

Love the note. A solid VF that appears as if it has retained nice crispness. Nothing better than the color on the reverse sides of large size gold certificates. Just one mans opinion.

That's a quality 1922 $20, would grade as Very Fine. Lower end 1922 $20s are extremely common, but nice grades like this one are in high demand and are sought after by many collectors wanting a quality note for their gold certificate type set. The $50 gold certificates are very pricey, more than the $10s and $20s, even more than the $100s, in Very Fine, the price going up to one thousand dollars and beyond. The $100s are more affordable, and my dealer has nice Fine grade specimens for only $600. I have purchased two out of the three he has in stock, and he gave me a discount - the duo for $950.

I like the large size $20 gold certs. Bought a nice one in EF to go with the double eagles.

Nice note, btw.
