This is getting ridiculous another smash job that they say they "got from a co-worker" and selling as double struck (fraud, imo)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...photohosting

This one is so bad, they used a 1966 cent and smashed it on to a 2005 cent. wow, that happened at the us mint? A 29 year difference? NOT

Fake double struck

It's a newer eBayer and they aren't selling anything else. It's possible they are selling this out of ignorance

That is so screaming "FAKE" it isn't funny, and yet people are bidding on it. I could quit my day job and spend all day smashing, melting, punching holes, etc. on pennies and selling them on ebay as errors. I really feel sorry for those people that are getting took. Most are new to collecting I bet and this will leave a very sour taste in their mouth toward the hobby.

They SHOULD probably be doing their homework on these "error" coins before they bid though. Sure, the sellers are making some easy cash off of these people, but the real fools here are the ones actually bidding on the coins.

Wow - that's so obvious it hurts, and it's really unfortunate for those that are bidding. I don't know a lot about errors, but I wouldn't pay more than a cent for that. I think I hear my jug-o-pennies and hammer calling me to the garage....

I e-mailed the seller and I got this as a responce
quote:
when I got this penny my thought was the same as yours, so I tried to duplicate this with 2 pennies and could not start to get close to the details as this one. I emailed the buyer and told him if he was not happy with it for any reason or thought it was not real he could send it back and I would send his entire amount back to him. I don't collect coins so I am not sure. but I'm not out to screw anyone out of money.
thanks for the info
