Here's a fun listing...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/315017529145

Love this part of the description...
....What makes this coin truly special is its variety as an Error Wheat penny. Featuring certification number rr103 rpm, this coin is a unique find that is sure to stand out in any collection.

...that effect (the dime) was most likely done by tapping with a hammer, as you rotate the rim ... this is a typical method for making rings out of coins

It's possible that it was hammered or spooned, but much more likely that it's a Dryer Coin (especially considering the wear on the obverse features).

and who would make a ring out of a dime? once you got the rim wide enough, the center hole would be so small that only a baby could wear it (for a week)

@Dearborn .. "and who would make a ring out of a dime? once you got the rim wide enough, the center hole would be so small that only a baby could wear it (for a week)"...

...no one with any good sense... was just saying (possibly) how the damage was done, as I've done the same thing, in the manner I described ... try it, if ya wanna waste a coin ... lol ... you'll get this effect ...

...Dryer damage ... yup...could be that too...

B.T. W. ... Who would make a ring from a dime?... same fool who buys that coin...lol
